The CeramicSpeed Bottom Brackets guarantee you the lowest friction, optimised power transfer, and longest product lifetime, helping you to save watts or ride faster. Fitting almost all standards available on the market, more than 150 types of CeramicSpeed bottom brackets are available for upgrading your bike. Choosing to upgrade with a bottom bracket with coated bearings, you benefit from even further reduced friction and better resistance to contamination and corrosion.
If in doubt, check out our Bottom Bracket Compatibility Matrix to find the right bottom bracket for your bike.
Unsure which BB fits your bike?
Please note that the GPX "Giga X Pipe" bottom bracket system transfers the bearings outside the bottom bracket shell for significantly increased stiffness. The GPX features a 24mm drive side cup and bearing with a 22mm non-drive cup and bearing. This design transfers the radial load to the drive side bearing for optimized bearing load and power transfer while minimizing wear. The GPX design works only with GXP designed cranksets from Sram and TruVativ. Shimano GXP is non tapered 24/24 (drive side/non drive side)
Save 10-16 watts with a complete CeramicSpeed upgrade
CeramicSpeed products help you ride faster using less energy. This can be the difference between winning and losing. Whether you ride for pleasure or you are a pro athlete fighting the clock, you will always benefit from riding with CeramicSpeed bearings. Take advantage whether you are riding road, tri, off-road or track.
When optimising your bike it pays off to focus on all details, especially on the small parts in your bike that can maximise your performance. Thanks to the unique technology behind the CeramicSpeed bearings and the optimisation of the racing chains, you are able to go faster or to save between 10 and 16 watts. We summed up the gains achieved through a full CeramicSpeed upgrade to calculate your winning advantage at the finish line.
Save 10-16 watts using: Hub Bearings, Bottom Bracket, OSPW System and UFO Chain. Alternatively, upgrade your bike with a standard CeramicSpeed bearings upgrade (includes Hub Bearings, Bottom Bracket and 11-tooth Pulley Wheels and results in 6-9 watts energy savings), or add the CeramicSpeed UFO Chain to the standard upgrade and save a total of 8-14 watts.
Save 6 to 9 watts with a standard CeramicSpeed bearing upgrade
We are not talking about saved seconds but saved minutes! On an Iron Distance you can save up to 9 minutes!
CeramicSpeed bearings reduce friction and benefit from increased longevity. Your bike will not just get faster. Tests prove that you save 6 to 9 watts with CeramicSpeed bearings in your hubs, 11-tooth pulley wheels and bottom brackets compared to a set of standard bearings. Tests are performed using exactly the same CeramicSpeed bearings that our sponsored teams are using and which are available in bike stores worldwide.
A standard CeramicSpeed bearing upgrade does not include the CeramicSpeed UFO Chain or the OSPW System.
Don't miss the benefits from CeramicSpeed bearings
Mounting
To obtain the best bike performance it is very important that your Bottom Brackets are mounted correctly.
The CeramicSpeed Bottom Brackets are easy to install and they fit most standards on the market.
When dismounting the original crank we recommend you follow the guidance process found within the original manufacturers manual. Here you will also be able to find information about the right tools that must be used.
When installing a threaded CeramicSpeed Bottum Bracket we recommend you tighten it with 40-50 NM.
Maintenance
The need for maintenance fully depends on the conditions the products are used under. If you ride a lot in wet and muddy conditions, you need to maintain the bearings more often than if you only use them in dry and sunny conditions. As a general rule you should check the bearings condition every 5-10.000 km. If you ride off-road disiplines you should check them every 1-3.000 km. Always add grease if you find the bearings are running dry. If you use degreaser as a cleaning agent the need for lubrication is more frequent. You should as a minimum lubricate the bearings once per year.
